If there’s one thing that most of us haven’t tried yet but would really want to is selling items on EBay. The problem is, there are so many negative stories been told about EBay transactions that could frighten anyone to start anything through it.

Stories of people getting fooled by sellers for commodities that they paid for but never got or by buyers who got the product but paid using a fake/expired money transfer account are really horrifying. It’s really difficult to deal on the Net, they say.

However, despite all these negative stories-actually there are many people who earn it big at EBay. These people can put up anything for auction and really get paid for it: big! Their secret? They say it is credibility.

The main thing you got to have to really earn big on EBay and in any other auction site is the trust of the online community you are transacting in, which relates to your credibility whenever you buy or sell products online. Before you can start earning at EBay, you have to be a buyer first. This is how you can establish a track record online. A good buyer will eventually translate into a good seller later on since the reviews about you from the people you bought items from will also be your “backup” when you start selling already.

Of course, a good buyer is one who pays up on time and with the right amount. Two or three good ratings are enough to start venturing into selling something online. Practicing professionalism whenever you sell (which includes courtesy and consistency in communications with bidders/buyers) are bonus points to build up your credibility in addition to really delivering the product to the buyer after purchase and in delivering a product of quality.

Keeping up with these good practices will build a name for you online and as time passes by, big profits will follow!

You can buy what you want easily. You can pay for what you want with ease. But there are people who sign up for ebay or paypal; for the sole reason of taking people for everything they have. Ebay and paypal do what they can to stop fraud. But you can’t catch everyone, when millions of people use ebay and paypal. There are people out there, who will put a deal that is too good to be true for a few thousand dollars. People always look for a good deal, that’s what ebay is all about, finding bargains. Some unsuspecting person, buys the item for a big price and never gets the item. Scammers try and pull this con off everyday. The sad thing is, people fall for it all the time.

Look at feedback. If the person has 0-3 for a feedback number, be weary. That member has not been there long enough to be trusted with a big money deal. Always look through the sellers feedback with a fine tooth comb. Some people will give good feedback, but write something negative about the seller. Some people just don’t leave neutral or negative comments. So make sure you read through buyers comments in the feedback. Don’t just look at how many positive feedback they have.

Fake ebay or paypal emails, watch out for these. This is a popular one, the scammers actually try to scare you in to believing the email is real. Ebay and paypal do not send fake emails. Scammers actually make ebay or paypal emails, they usually look identical to the real thing. These fake emails look so much like the real thing, there are only a few ways to tell the difference. Here are some clues to look out for, so you don’t get scammed in to believing these emails.

1. Ebay and paypal, would never ask for your personal information through email communication.

2.Some emails will look like they are from ebay or paypal, the scammers try and force you to sign in. They are not real emails. They say things like, “you have been suspended” and you need to log in right away to fix the problem. Or that someone has logged in with a weird IP address and your account might have been stolen. They give lots of reasons to try and scam you into believing that the email is serious and needs your immediate attention. When you click onto the email link; it brings you to a webpage that looks just like ebay or paypal. It will ask you to log in, then it will bring you to a screen that asks for all kinds of personal information. It will ask for your social security number, bank account info, even your pin number for your bank card.

Always look at the web address the link in the email brought you to. If its not www.ebay.com/abunchofotherstuffhere or www.paypal.com/abunchofotherstuffhere , then its not a real email. Ebay and paypal will never ask you for your personal information through an email.

3.You may get an email that claims you have won or sold something on ebay. It may be a paypal or ebay email look alike. This is a fake email. If you click on the links in the email, they will not bring you to paypal or ebay’s website. That is key; if the email doesn’t bring you to paypal or ebay websites, it’s a fake email and should be reported.

If you get any emails that you think may be fraud, forward it along with the header to spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com

4.If you are a seller in large dollar items, you may be familiar with this next one. Someone buys an item from you with 0-3 feedback. The buyer pays for the item. The seller ships the item and it’s business as usual. Until you find that the credit card was stolen and your paypal balance is negative $500.00. Now you end up losing the money and the big money item.

The way to prevent credit card fraud on paypal is; open a business or premier business paypal account. It will protect you against credit card fraud on paypal. It’s free to sign up for this paypal account. Most people have a personal paypal account and you are not covered for credit card theft with a regular paypal account.

If you don’t have a business or premier account on paypal; you would have to pay for the negative balance and eat the price of the large dollar item. You would lose twice everytime. No business could survive on that. Do your self a favor and open a free business or premier account on paypal.

Just remember, don’t let these creeps keep floating around. Don’t let scammers keep ripping innocent people off. Report them right away. The sooner you report them, the sooner they will be caught. Report them to the email addresses I have provided. If you like, contact ebay or paypal directly. But if we don’t report these guys, they will always be there. It takes 2 minutes to report them. Take that time out for it. Next time those creeps try and scam someone, it may be you or someone you love.

When my voice mail system recently gave up the ghost, I discovered that the equipment I had been using has not been manufactured in years, and no one makes anything quite like it.

After learning more than I really wanted to know about phone and voice mail systems, I narrowed my decision to two systems. One seemed to be a better choice, and was even less expensive than the other. However, when it came time to place the order I got nervous. The manufacturer seemed less ‘corporate’ and not as well established as the maker of the other system. I started wondering if paying the higher price was the safer thing to do, rather than dealing with a lesser-known company. Would my credit card information be secure? Would the company provide a quality product, and would they stand behind it?

The factor that won me over was eBay. Although I was not shopping for their products on eBay, it turns out that this company sells a lot on eBay, and their feedback score is 100%. Of course, the raw number isn’t enough to go on. They have enough ratings that the feedback score appears to be genuine, the feedback comes from many users with established feedback scores, and the feedback is primarily for selling the type of product I was planning to buy.

eBay had a great idea when they came up with feedback scores. While a good feedback score is not a guarantee that you will be happy with your transaction, it is a good indicator. In this case, even though I wasn’t planning to buy on eBay, the fact that this merchant had good feedback there gave me the confidence I needed to do business with them.

Positive feedback from eBay customers is just one way you can build credibility and create trust in the online community. The more confidence your customers have in you, the easier it will be to get their business.

Many people do not know about the key eBay dropship secrets that will help their business flourish. As a result, they often experience difficulties in dealing with dropshippers.

Dropshippers conveniently supply you with your product inventory. Best of all, they ship these items directly to your customer. Dropshippers allow you to focus on selling and promotion without the headaches involved with maintaining product inventory.

However, not all dropshippers are trustworthy. Unfortunately, too often people are eager to get going and so they hastily sign up with the first dropshipper that they come across. As a result, they often end up with wholesalers that offer poor service.

Still, you need to keep these eBay dropship secrets in mind before your proceed.

Dropshipper Research. Always research any potential dropshipper. Keep track of any conversations and correspondence to get a feel for their policies as well as their customer service. How they treat you over the phone will often reflect how they treat their customers so pay close attention. Also, ask for references when possible.

Test First Orders. Ask dropshippers to send the first few orders to you and not to the customer. By doing so, you are ensuring that the dropshipper sends exactly what is specified in the order, and furthermore you are sending a message to the dropshipper that you will be keeping close tabs on all actions.

Take It Slow. Having a lot of business is good as long as it is manageable. You don’t have to offer 200 things all at once. By starting slow, you can determine what your limit is as a one person operation and then you can ramp up bringing in additional people.

Follow these eBay dropship secrets and you will find products easily and more importantly, hassle-free!

Stop wasting time looking for products to sell. Access over 5,000 wholesalers in one place! Any type of product you need to sell, and any quantity size…it’s all here! Granted, Ebay is a great way to sell or buy products online, however, do not participate with your eyes closed. Always be aware of what is going on within the auction world and protect yourself — whether you are a seller or a buyer. Here is a sample of some of the current 2007 Ebay scams going around.

Buyer Side Scams

Western Union Scam — The scammer states that they can only accept payment via Western Union. The buyer find the product the seller is advertising to be so enticing and below cost, that the buyer can not resist. So, he/she will agree to send money thru Western Union to purchase the product. What happens- 1) they may never receive the product from the seller. 2) The seller will send a product not of the quality advertised.

Rule of thumb: Never, eversend money to a complete stranger via Western Union.

Fraudulent listings-auctions– fraudulent auctions contains links that direct buyers to spoofed sites that attempt to phish their Ebay credentials.

The Fake Escrow Account - The scammer utilizes an email to purport the scam. When a buyer states an interest in buying, they receive an email from the seller(scammer) that states to please send their payment via a wire transfer through an “Ebay trader”. This is where the scam gets interesting: the “Ebay trader” notation is the scammer’s attempt to fool the buyer into thinking that this is truly a secure escrow account, when in fact it is not. Where does the money go? The money is deposited directly into the seller’s
overseas account.

If you are wanting to buy:

1) Ask questions of the seller about the item

2) Verify seller’s contact information-before you submit money to seller
3)Make sure your method of payment offers protection. Paypal is the safest way on Ebay,
4)If seller accepts only cash or cash wire transfers — do not bid on listing
5)Be cautious when consider escrow accounts
6) If you received an email that says it was sent by Ebay-verify. You can verify that the email is real by forwarding the email to spoof@ebay. They will respond in 24 hours to tell you if it is real or fake.

When the Seller Is Scammed

The seller can also be scammed. So, for the newbie wanting to try their hand at Ebay selling, make sure you do a little research, and have things set up to protect yourself and your business. Here are a sample of some of the scams sellers can encounter.

1) Fake credit card, check or money order

2) Utilizing the chargeback feature - the buyer, using their credit card, will purchase the item. So far, so good. However, once the product has been received by the buyer, they will issue a chargeback. The scammer is banking on the fact that you do not have enough proof that you sent the product — giving them an out and the product. But where will that leave you, the seller? In most cases, You will not get the
product you sent to the buyer(1 loss); and the 2nd loss, you will be responsible for the chargeback charges.

Rule of thumb — make sure you keep accurate records and that you work with a delivery service that includes tracking numbers to verify the product was sent.

3) Stolen credit card - The scammer buys with a stolen credit card. The scammer gets the product, but then the owner of the stolen credit card calls the credit card company stating that their credit card has been stolen. The credit card company, in turn, orders a chargeback. Again, the seller is responsible for the chargeback charges.

4) Ebay Account hijackers — is where a scammer hijacks the account of a legitimate seller with a
good feedback record. This is bad for the legitimate seller and the buyer. Both lose.

To conclude, if you are wanting to try your hand on Ebay, whether you are a seller or a buyer, do not go blindly into it. Get the facts, know the red flags, and thus, when you should back away from a deal.

Have a quick search on eBay for Ebooks and you’ll find that many sellers are listing the same one as you. So what do you do if everyone is selling the same eBook and you would like to list it as well, how do you make your’s stand out from the crowd so people are jumping over themselves to buy from you and not your competition?

The best way to do this is to add bonuses to your listing.

Ok, so how do you do this?

It’s pretty easy actually all you need to do is to find a product that complements your eBooks and add it to the package, and then TELL your customer about the bonuses.

Have you ever gone to a sales page and the offer sounds really good, but then you find out about all the other bonus stuff you are going to get and it’s like, SOLD, CHECK PLEASE ..

Bonuses sell your auctions faster than ice melting in the desert (or something like that).

So what bonuses do you add?

The best things to add are something related to the original topic. So if your eBay listing is on losing weight, add another guide for free in the package on the same topic.

It could be something like:

LOSE WEIGHT THE EASY WAY eBook + BONUS Flat Abs in 7 days

Now that would be a killer combo and sell sell sell! At the very least it would help you stand out from the competition.

Everybody loves something for free and adding an extra in will make your listing unique from the crowd. It’s the same principle as the big department stores use with their ‘buy one get one free’ offers. You are simply adding a gift with purchase!

Think about what you could add to make your eBooks even more desirable and start making more eBay sales today.

Now you know how to add value to your eBay ebook listings, why not get your 25 Page Guide to Successful Selling on eBay for great eBay selling tips.

There a few out there that specialize in something or are up and coming to be huge auction marketplaces. When you own a business, you never want to settle for one thing. The more places you branch off to, the more customers you will get.

Yes, you may not get the sales you get on eBay, but there are other marketplaces that offer their services for free. eBay charges high fees, so why not try the same thing for free. You want a back up plan for other places to buy and sell from. As usual, my review is based on my own experiences. I recommend every one of the websites I mention in today’s post.

Those are the marketplaces I recommend you expand your business to. Growth is the best way any business can make more money. Yes it’s true, you won’t make as much as you do on eBay, using these other marketplaces. But using all them together will at least double your sales volume. You won’t be hit with outrageous auction fees either. That means more profit for your business. Also your business name will be well known through out search engines. You won’t be stuck on one marketplace. With a little originality, you could grow faster than most businesses doing the same old thing. Give them a try you won’t regret it

Bid4assets.com is one of my favorites! You can sell here, but I wouldn’t recommend it. This website doesn’t get traffic for buying goods off merchants. It’s nothing fancy, but it holds some great bargains. It’s not really a place you want to buy little things from. Government agencies like the U.S Marshalls Office, FBI, and ATF confiscate items from people every day. Bid4assets is a major place that the government resells seized property, from high end cars, to homes with lots of property. Anything that the government has lawfully taken from fugitives and so forth. There are some junkers, but that’s to be expected. Most of it comes from crooked low down people, I am sure. This is a great place to check out. Everyone now and then there is a great deal there.

Blujay.com is another great marketplace. It’s 100% free to use and you can even set up a web store. This isn’t an auction marketplace, but it is a great place to set up a free store. They get tons of traffic. Not as much as eBay of course, but they get enough traffic so you will have sales. You can also find some really good deals. They let you use Google checkout and PayPal for payment methods excepted. These guys grow everyday. Someday soon they will be a marketplace giant. When you set up a webstore with them; you webstore is automatically placed into Google and Froogle search engines. It’s a fantastic place to branch off to.

Ecrater.com is another spectacular free marketplace. Ecrater’s best feature is; You can set up your own E-Commerce Website, for free! Ecrater gets tons of traffic everyday(in the hundreds of thousands), so they are nothing to shake a stick at. Your E-Commerce store and products in it will be automatically sourced into Google search engine. You can find some really good deals here also. Just buy some stock cheap and resell on eBay. I really recommend branching out into an ecrater E-Commerce website. Again, your sales won’t be like eBay, but you will notice them coming in. There is one downside; they only let you accept Google checkout in the checkout options. But you can also list payment details in your item description, if you accept other payment methods. This is my number one recommended marketplace. Everyone should have an ecrater store!Ubid.com is another great place to buy and sell products. Ubid has really grown in the past year. You are missing out if you don’t buy or sell on Ubid. The auction fess are a lot cheaper than ebay. This is another place I make a habit of buying goods to resell on eBay. It is also the best place, besides ebay to sell products also. The traffic and customer base is probably the biggest, out of all the auction marketplaces that I mention today. You will do a lot of sales being a member of Ubid.

Bidz.com is another great place to find some really great deals. This a great place to buy some top notch jewelry. You can also sell here, but that’s not what the customer base is there for. You won’t make much if you try and sell anything here. But if you are looking for something as elegant as a 6 carat diamond ring, you have come to the right place. You can make a lot of money, if you buy low and resell on eBay. The prices are really low on bidz! They can charge lower prices because they have branched with many top jewelry makers from around the globe. In the past year or so, Bidz has really grown into a top jewelry website. I have been using them for over 2 years now and have saved thousands of dollars on jewelry. Diamonds are a woman’s best friend.

Half.com is a great place to buy smaller items like movies, music, video games, and books. They even started a sellers option, so you can sell your movies, books, and video games. Take advantage of half.com for all your media needs. They are a branch of ebay, so you can even use your ebay name.

Amazon.com is another force to be reckoned with. Amazon has been around almost as long as eBay. Amazon has great deals everyday on all sorts of items. They are probably the most comparable to eBay, out of the marketplaces I tell you about today. You can buy or sell here. The traffic you will get at amazon will be substantial. I recommend selling on amazon. I wouldn’t really say you could buy and resell on eBay for higher prices. Also, the sellers competition at Amazon is about the same as eBay. You will see sales generate by selling on Amazon. You can find some good deals here, if you are buying something for your self.

Bidville.com is another good auction marketplace. You could sell or buy there. There are some really good bargains. There isn’t traffic like eBay, but it’s a place to branch off into. Most of these auction marketplaces are great to buy low and resell for a higher price on eBay. The more places your products are on the internet, the more sales you will get. You won’t make a fortune at bidville, but it provides a unique experience that you will surely benefit from. Give them a try you won’t regret it.

If I could convey only one concept to someone who wasabout to start selling on Ebay, it would be this: no one has ever purchased anything on Ebay with this in mind–”I think I’ll buy something on Ebay from some random guy and pay more than I would at the storedown the street.”

No one has ever said that. Not once. That is why Ebaysellers who appear to be “that random guy” always fail miserably. It’s not enough to simply be professional andresponsible. You have to make an active effort to appear professional and responsible.

To begin with, you must actually have a good deal. There are dozens of liquidators and wholesale outlets. If you do your research, you should have no problem finding good prices on anything you want to sell. I list a number of the best ones in my book.

Once you have something good to sell and a good sourceto buy it from, you have to decide how you are goingto present it.

At this point, you are giving your customers a good deal–which is important–but if you don’t present it as a good deal, they will have no way of knowing.

One way you can do this is by setting yourself apart from the pack with a unique selling proposition: tell potential customers exactly why they should shop at your store over other Ebay sellers’ stores.

For instance, if you know that the sellers in your category who undersell you can only do it because they are selling damaged or refurbished products, then tell that to your customers. Let them know that your productsmay cost a few more dollars. . .but if they buy it somewhere else for less on Ebay, it is probably broken.

You will also want to add extra services and guaranteesto your product that no one else offers. For example, you could give free support or free shipping. Or you could guarantee to ship everything within 24 business hours of purchase. Or you could bundle your product with other products. Whatever you do, your goal shouldbe to gain a competitive edge over big sellers by addingan unquantifiable amount of value to your item.

. . .but even this is not enough to make you appear professional and responsible.

You must frame your products in a template that looksprofessionally-designed. You will need to either learn HTML or purchase a template from Ebay or elsewhere. In the end, you need to ask yourself this: “if I stumbled over this auction, would I think it wasprofessional–or would I immediately move on?”

It is also a good idea to ask another person what theywould do, since it is often hard to judge your own work.

In addition to this, you will want to operate like a real business would. You should email your customerswith shipping confirmation numbers. You should be polite to customers and use a systematic process to conduct all transactions and customer interactions.

Everything I mentioned in this lesson is relatively simple. Most of it can be accomplished in a matter of hours; however, the vast majority of Ebay sellers neglect to do it. If you put everything in this lesson into practice, you will immediately put yourself light-years ahead of all stores that look like “that random Ebay guy.”

With more and more people getting online, many of them are searching for information on specific products that they are interested in purchasing.

Thus one of the best possible ways to turn a profit online is to find wholesale sources that will drop-ship thes products directlyto your customers who come to your website for more informatation. Also you could set up ebay auctions to sell these products.

BUT….

Most of the wholesale sources ebooks, list of 10,000 drop shippers etc. that you see being offered online just don’t cut it. Either they are full of links that lead to websites that are no longer active, lead you to wholesalers who carry junk products (dollar storeitems, as seen on TV stuff), or the price are too high for you to make any profits.

Actually most of the time the so called wholesale sources you findin these ebooks and lists are nothing more than
